Casey Kearns (Scenic Designer) resides in his home state of Nebraska as a freelance scenic designer. Formerly, he served as the Production Manager and Head of Undergraduate Design and Production at the University of Houston School of Theatre and Dance, as an Associate Professor of Scenic Design at the University of Wyoming, and as a faculty member at the University of Northern Colorado and the University of Indianapolis. His design credits include well over 300 productions, including Shakespeare, opera, ballet, modern drama, classical works, and musical theatre. Casey is an active long-time member of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) and served as the Commissioner for the Scene Design and Technology Commission, an Associate Commissioner, a Vice-Commissioner for Programming, and as a Vice-Commissioner for Scenic Design, the USITT Conference Committee, and the USITT Nominations Committee. On two separate occasions, Casey has taught full courses abroad in London on the University of London and Queen Mary University campuses. He proudly earned his Master of Fine Arts in Scenography (Scenic, Lighting, and Costume Design) from the University of Kansas (Rock Chalk Jayhawk!) and a Bachelor of Arts from Chadron State College. During his "free time," Casey enjoys photography, cooking, travel, gardening, laser cutting and engraving, 3D printing, and spending time with his dog, Theodore.
Theodore (Assistant Scenic Designer) was found as a puppy shortly after Christmas at a shelter alongside his abandoned mother and two brothers (Alvin and Simon). His family's names and the time of his discovery should have been an early indication of his untapped career in show business.
Theodore’s very first pup-formance debut was in Oct. 2025 when he played the role of Toto in the Cody Theatre Company's production of The Wizard of Oz. Casey also served as the scenic and projection designer. Theodore was thrilled to share the stage with so many talented individuals onstage and won the hearts of many!
At nearly fourteen years old, Theodore has lived in Laramie, WY. Indianapolis, IN. Houston, TX, and now quietly resides in the panhandle of Nebraska with his dog dad. As an avid traveler and curious adventurer, Theodore has journeyed across eleven states accompanying his dad's freelance career. Theodore enjoys napping beside his dad’s chair in the design studio, treats of all kinds, sunning, chasing squirrels, keeping the neighbors’ curious cats at a safe distance, cuddles, riding in hotel elevators, and spending time with his grandma, who also spoils him dearly.
