Casey Kearns (Scenic Designer) resides in his home state of Nebraska as a freelance scenic designer. Formally he served as the Production Manager and Head of Undergraduate Design and Production at the University of Houston School of Theatre and Dance, as Associate Professor of Scenic Design at the University of Wyoming, as well as serving as a faculty member at, the University of Northern Colorado, and the University of Indianapolis. His design credits include well over 200 productions including Shakespeare, opera, ballet, modern drama, classical works, and musical theatre. Casey is an active long-time member of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) and formerly served as the Commissioner for the Scene Design and Technology Commission, Associate Commissioner, Vice-Commissioner for Programing, and Vice Comissioner for Scenic Design. He proudly earned his Master of Fine Arts in Scenography (Scenic, Lighting, and Costume Design) from the University of Kansas (Rock Chalk Jayhawk!) and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Chadron State College in Theatre (Go Eagles). During his "free time," Casey enjoys photography, cooking, traveling, and spending time with my dog, Theodore.
